This is the first of your games that I think I've played! It's certainly short, but it didn't need to be any longer. The forest background is so pretty! The purple shadows fit the mood very well.
Based on how your afterword suggests that a happy interpretation is intended, I'm guessing that the black dog might be a spirit form of Mila, or came on Mila's behalf, to protect Hans and steer him out of the forest before nighttime. A nice day that he can carry with him, as long as he doesn't think about it too hard? It's sad seeing him just standing there talking to himself once the illusion is revealed... But I'm sure I'm still missing something!
WEEPING WEEPING....... Each of the endings are satifing in their own way, but the all clues ending is definitely the sweetest. Worth the elbow grease!! The skip button and fail-safes are very much appreciated for repeat playthroughs.
(Spoilers!!!!) Still can't believe he put rat poison in the kibble....waste of perfectly good pellets :'(
CRIED LIKE A BABY! Fantastic pacing and the art is solid. The backgrounds have that sterile laboratory feel, without just being generic walls and corridors. The character sprites are expressive which makes it easy to get invested.
It's made very easy to adjust to the perspective of the protagonist, who has specialized knowledge that the reader won't have but follows a very clear thought process. Pavel is a very likable kid, relatable to anyone who's struggled with school. It only makes you want things to work out for him so badly....
(SPOILERS) I was really really scared that in the ending it would be revealed that the chip connected to his brain would also shut off or detonate somehow. Luckily you were kind and gave him a future :,)
Ohhh I'm weepy :( I like the quiet sadness and anger that the kitsune is holding back. The fact that the hunter has amnesia now means we'll never find out why he suddenly attacked her. Maybe she really was bewitching him, maybe even unintentionally. But it was most likely his free decision both times, despite 50 years... Maybe the point isn't to figure out how it happened, instead to bask in the emotions of the situation
Such a good game :D It really leans into the idea of memories being suggestible, how we just fill in the gaps to the best of our ability. The constant repeating of "please come home," and the reveal that this person was nearby the entire time... it makes it hard to believe the most "reasonable" explanations after that
It's a neat concept! The wide scope of options makes the story itself wishy-washy, all the demo really covers is meeting two kids and going to class. The selling point is the wide array of ways you can make your insert character feel more like you. It's a nice bit of escapism and the art is gorgeous
I've actually just started reading your webcomic recently! I'm planning to try out your games ^.^ Yes, nomnomnami's stuff is so lovely! I didn't realize they were part of this project at first, but it makes sense with the artsyle.
I do plan to share this game with my friends! And would you mind if I possibly made fanart?
